Dimensions Scripting: Data Management I

The course covers the basics of Dimensions and the SPSS MR Data Model in sufficient detail to get users into the concepts of Data Management using Dimensions. You start off at the very basic operations of reading and writing data files, data cleaning, and data validation. Then, when you have an appreciation of the Data Management Timeline, you move on to creating more complex scripts, which control applications on your computer systems. Through progressive iterations of script building, you develop skills in handling mrStudio features and some of the basics of handling system and Microsoft Office applications to achieve significant, but everyday, Data Management tasks. A focus of the latter parts of the course is developing skills in creating new columns of data and populating them with data values. Throughout the course, you will be introduced to Object based programming principles and constructs.
