This course introduces students to the new features of Oracle Database 10g and Oracle9i Database. Detailed information on upgrading from Oracle8i to Oracle Database 10g is included. In this course, Database Administrators learn how to perform typical tasks using the new features available with Oracle Database 10g including many of the Advisors. Students learn how to use features to increase database availability, simplify database management, and improve performance.

Hands-on practice sessions provide students with an opportunity to upgrade an Oracle8i database to Oracle Database 10g and use many of the new features.
